Red Sea Islands

 

There are about 45 Islands in the Egyptian red Sea of which 22 are protected by law 102..
There is an archipelago of 13 islands at the mouth of Gulf of Suez, among the islands, Tiran and Sanafir islands are located, at the mouth of Gulf Aqaba.
South of Hurghada are Safaga, Wadi el Gemal and the Hamata group of islands. The offshore island of Zabarghad (St.John Island ) and Al Akhawain ( Brothers Islands ) are located off Ras Bans and Quseir respectively.
Vegetation on these island is generally confirmed to mangroves and some salt-living plants.
Two Species of Lizard. The Tarkish Gecko and the Small Spotted Snake,
Have been seen on same of larger islands.
Red Sea Islands are what breeding habitats for marine Turtles.
